Inuyasha is "The Abandoned Prince", the half-human, half-demon son of the taiyoukai Lord of the Western Lands, Touga and a high bred noble lady, Iyazoi. Both of his parents died while he was at a young age, leaving him an orphan and, because of his blood, an outcast in the world. He carries his father's legacy, the Tessaiga, a worn out katana that unleashes its true power with the desire to protect a thousand lives. Every new moon, his demon blood deserts him, and he is left to fend for himself in a completely human and vulnerable body. Although he has inherited noble blood from both of his parents, he is still considered an vagabond with no home; the humans are terrified of his demonic power, and the demons scoff at his human mortality.
The Abandoned Prince is representative of the strength of the individual; the ability to survive on one's own. On the other hand, it also represents indecision and vulnerability; there is the insistent desire for friends and family, and a place to belong.

This one was started over Winter Break, and I only now just got to finish it. Originally I wanted to get it done at home, because I knew that I wouldn't have any time at school, but I had people to see and things to do, and eventually I had to postpone it for a week or so.
But here it is in all it's glory! Nothing really inspired this one I guess, cause it came out of a doodle. It's Inuyasha of course, in a very Rurouni Kenshin-esque pose (I believe Kenshin did get his shirt ripped in a similar fashion). At around the same time I drew this, I had brainstormed a sort of original tarot set, from Inuyasha. I'm a major fan of tarot, because it's kind of mysterious and the drawings and the hidden meanings behind them are kind of cool...
I might do more with the other characters, I might not. Depends on the demand, amount of time I have, and the inspiration.
I love your art style. It's a different type of anime drawing I've seen, so I like it a lot because it's original and has a new quality to it. Good job!
Ahhh, it's good to see Inu Yasha out of all those baggy cloths...
I like how the lanky, lean body is accentuated by your clean lines and smooth coloring. Good job!
